  • Day 1
    06:50 – Meeting at the railway station with the guide. Transfer to the restaurant ”Severny“.
    07:30 – Buffet breakfast.
    08:30 – City tour of Petrozavodsk. Photo stop near the monument to Peter the Great.
    10:30 – Departure for the ancient Karelian village of Kinerma (200 km). Today you will get
    acquainted with Karelian countryside. Kinerma is a unique ancient Karelian village that exists from the 16th century. Picturesque landscapes, birds' singing, wooden Karelian houses and tranquil atmosphere of a true Russian village will open a new world for you. You will get acquainted with Karelian culture and with the history of the village, visit a local house and a chapel dedicated to Virgin Mary.
    13:30 – Karelian baking workshop. With the help of Nadezhda you will learn to bake kalitki, tiny Karelian pasties made of unfermented dough with rye flour baked with potato or porridge fillings.
    15:00 – Traditional lunch in an ancient Karelian house.
    18:00 – Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Transfer to the first restaurant of Karelian cuisine. Dinner”"Karelian Feast". You will plunge into the atmosphere of Karelian hospitality and try the most popular Karelian dishes.
    19:30 – Accommodation at htl Onezhsky Zamok. Free time.
    Day 2
    Breakfast at the hotel.
    10:00 – Transfer to the first restaurant of Karelian cuisine. Karelian cuisine workshop with the chef. Today you will get acquainted with the peculiarities of Karelian cuisine and learnsome secrets of the restaurant. With the help of professionals you will cook two dishes and tastethem afterwards.
    13:00 – Visit to the Karelian Museum of Local Lore.
    14:00 – Departure for Kondopoga (50 km). You will see the second largest city of Karelia and its gem, the church of Assumption which is considered to be the swan song of Russian wooden architecture (1774).
    16:30 – Visit of the Kivatch Nature Reserve which is often called "Karelia in miniature". You will visit waterfall Kivatch, the second highest plain waterfall in Europe and get acquainted with Karelian flora and fauna in the museum of nature.
    19:00 – Return to Petrozavodsk. Free time.
    20:00 – Farewell dinner.
    22:00 – Transfer to the railway station
